- Does the system come with antivirus software?
Ours does. Norton Antivirus. An absolute necessity these days. While most mail order systems come with something, it's frequently only a 90 day trial. Ours includes a full 12 month subscription - on theirs, this is usually at least an extra $35. - How much is shipping?
Virtually all of the mail order groups charge $100 to ship a desktop system. The fact is, it typically only actually runs about $30. Sort of an easy way for them to make a quick $70 on the back side, isn't it...? - What about the warranty?
One the bigger trends lately with the mail order groups seems to reducing the warranty on the system. Most seem to offer a 90 day warranty. OUR systems offer a 3 years warranty. Bumping the warranty to 1 year seems to typically be at least a $60 'option' with the mail order groups. We're just wondering why you should have to pay extra to have someone stand behind what they sell for a reasonable amount of time...?
Hmm... all of a sudden, that mail order machine is about a couple of hundred dollars more expensive than it started out to be, only to make it match what you can do locally... and we've only addressed a FEW points. Why not get LOCAL service and support... and SAVE some money??!
